What is Fly Fishing
Fly fishing involves casting an artificial fly to catch a fish. Because these flies are very lightweight they need a special line, plus the ability to cast, in order to get the fly to where you want it. The line is weighted in various ways to achieve this. Traditionally fly fishing was aimed at catching game fish namely salmon and trout. Nowadays fly fishing is used to catch all manner of coarse and saltwater fish.
The flies can be tied to imitate either their natural food items or just as an attractor pattern.
